Deputy President - Patrik Peters

As Deputy President of the Federation I am responsible for the supervision of work programs of all administrative committees and the management of IFATCA re. the administrative level. This also includes our publications, foremost "The Controller" magazine; our website; public relations and the office of the Federation in Montreal. These are the responsibilities as laid out in the IFATCA manual and only with the support of the other executive board members it becomes a manageable task - a real team effort! 

I started my career as an ab-initio student with the Eurocontrol Agency in 1990. Currently I hold the position of Supervisor and senior Air Traffic Controller in the Upper Area Control Centre in Maastricht/The Netherlands.

My engagement in professional association work began in 1995 when I joined the Executive Board of EGATS – the Eurocontrol Guild, as their membership secretary. Holding different positions in the subsequent years, I was elected President between 2001 and 2006. Attending IFATCA conferences since 1995, I became increasingly involved as from 2004. I was elected EVP Europe in Kaohsiung in 2006 and re-elected in Arusha in 2008 for a second term of 2 years. At the recent Punta Cana conference in 2010 I stood for the office of Deputy President.

I am a German national and live in Aachen/Germany and partially in Nyköping/Sweden.
